We recently carried out a survey amongst our clients to ask them what was important to them. The results were extremely interesting. Eighty Five percent cited CSR as an important issue. They also said they would be more likely to choose a CSR focused supplier over one who didn’t take such issues seriously.
CSR has always been an integral part of our business. But the results showed that our clients really value our approach to such an important issue.
Magenta was the first manned guarding company to achieve ISO 14001, and since then has gone on to create a business founded on sustainability, with initiatives ranging from a fleet of hybrid vehicles to secure recycling and charitable work.
We play an active role in the local community by sponsoring local cricket and football teams and have worked with the Metropolitan Police on projects educating local school children on safety issues – from knife crime and drugs to road and fire safety.

Instigating and implementing CSR activities is not something that can be achieved over night. To initiate company-wide understanding, commitment and support a top down approach to the objectives is of critical importance. In adopting CSR practices, we have involved our staff at all levels of the organisation and given them the opportunity to ask questions and provide thoughts and feedback to the managing director or board of directors on how our strategies can be improved. Regular training sessions with staff members ensure that staff are aware and can contribute to the ongoing development of CSR within the company.
